The Ted Noffs Foundation Inc, commonly known as the Noffs Foundation is an organisation based in Randwick and is committed to helping disadvantaged youth to become advantaged by providing essential services for young people and their families who are experiencing drug and alcohol problems and related trauma. The programs offered are based on leading research and are continually evaluated and reviewed. Such services associate with providing emergency social housing, safe spaces, and drug and alcohol counselling.
About the opportunity
The Ted Noffs Foundation generates income from a variety of social enterprises including, their Op Shops. Noffs op shops are located in various suburbs including, Surry Hills, Randwick, and Kingsford.
These op shops have a two-fold purpose, enabling the Foundation to:
Find a new home for quality clothing and other items, and
Help fund the services for young people.
Ultimately, this Foundation is currently seeking an enthusiastic Op Shop Volunteer who enjoys engaging with customers for their recently opened Kingsford store. This is an opportunity that will enable you to join a supportive team, make a difference in the lives of fellow young people, and be part of an organisation that opens pathways for communication and promotes social inclusion.
Job location: 2/46 Borrodale Rd, Kingsford NSW 2032
Time involved:
6-month commitment
4-hour shifts
Monday-Friday during various times
Training: On the job training will be provided.
Eligibility requirements:
Must have a Working with Children's Check - This may be arranged by the organisation
Volunteer Responsibilities and duties include:
Opening & closing the store
Retail Sales
Customer Service
Sorting and pricing items
Cleaning & tidying the store
End of day cash up procedure
